I knew right away that I wanted to make phone stand. The idea is simple it just has to hold a phone, creativity is a huge role though. I started a drawing in my designers notebook of what it could look like. It seemed to bland though. There wasn't enough creativity. I decided to add my first initial into the side, for one of two reasons. One it's easy to know which is mine. And 2 it also can hold small objects like airpods. So I went to inventor after drawing it out and designed it. After the design process I took it to the 3D printer and made it come to life
To create the phone stand I drew it from the side view then I extended it out. I measured my phone with a ruler then applied those dimensions to my project. After designing the shape I had to cut a hole out for the charger. So I started a new sketch on that face and created a hole big enough for the charger. Lastly I added my initial in the side by drawing it out and extruding backwards.

Here is my final project printed out
What I learned in this rotation is more about Inventor. When we were designing our widgets it seems very simple and small. This project scaled it up and it also opened new doors into future designing. This project was a challenge because before the project it would of been hard to design what I did, but now after it's done it seems like a walk in the park.
