The laser rotation consisted of 3 projects. The water bottle, the notebook, and the 2D to 3D. The laser project I went through Illustrator and designed it. I also used Illustrator for the water bottle. It was a different process than normal. I learned how to rotate a vector image. How I did the notebook design was first I made two basic rectangles the same size and put the stroke weight to 0.0001. Then all I had to do was use my prior knowledge and find images on the web (black and white) and turn those into images that could be engraved. I also cut out Brew Crew on my notebook cover. Here's a picture
The water bottle was very similar. I followed the directions on the handout and made the basic shape. Then found the Warriors black and white image and turned it into an image to be engraved. I took it to the laser and cut it out. The laser was not working at the time and someone did the computer part for me so I don't have a picture of the water bottle on the laser but I do have the final product which is here
Below is all of the pre measures I took in my designers notebook
What I learned in this rotation is how to use the laser in different situations. For example I didn't ever use the attachment for the water bottle because I never had to. Now I know how to and that is useful. I also learned how to use different materials on the laser. So far I've only used the material for the keychain, but I got to explore other materials with this project. In conclusion I learned more about the laser and more aspects of the laser.
